For National Consumer Protection Week 2013, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is releasing a Video Tip of the Day to warn consumers about scams and schemes to take advantage of consumers. Today, Brittany Steele from the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section discusses how scammers pretend to be reputable organizations through caller ID, also known as "spoofing."

News Conference Announcing Ohio Elder Justice Act

On February 21, 2013, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine joined State Representatives Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) and Wes Retherford (R-Hamilton) as they announced the introduction of the Ohio Elder Justice Act. The bill will help protect Ohio's senior citizens from abuse and improve the response to elder abuse victims by strengthening Adult Protective Services in Ohio.
