NOW LIVE: New e-filing system for tobacco product manufacturers
The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is pleased to complete the launch of its online certification filing system for tobacco product manufacturers: the OHCig Certification Portal. This new tool is intended to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the certification process.
The OHCig Portal rollout has taken place in three stages, based on certification type:
- October 2025: All companies began using the system for quarterly and supplemental certifications.
- April 2026: Annual certifications were added to the system.
- September 2026: Initial certifications were added to the system.
Updates and enhancements to the Portal will be made on an ongoing basis. Please reach out to our office if you have any suggestions that may improve your experience with the OHCig Portal.
UPDATE September 28, 2026: The OHCig Portal rollout is now complete. The Portal can be used to submit all certification types: initial, annual, quarterly, and supplemental. As a reminder, each company should ensure that its Signature Authority Users have been set up and approved BEFORE its first certification deadline (for assistance, see the Quick Guide under OHCig Resources below).
