OHLEG Advisory Group Releases Recommendations

10/25/2013

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Today the OHLEG Advisory Group released recommendations regarding protocols and safeguards for use of the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway (OHLEG).

A copy of the advisory group's report can be found on the Ohio Attorney General's website.

OHLEG is Ohio's secure, web-based law enforcement platform that includes electronic tools, databases, and other applications that help law enforcement solve and prevent crimes.  OHLEG is for criminal justice purposes only, and misuse is a felony offense.

“I want to thank the members of the OHLEG Advisory Group for their dedication and thoughtful recommendations,”  said Attorney General Mike DeWine.

Attorney General DeWine plans to implement the recommendations made in the report.
