On 12/31/2022, CPD received a report of a shooting in the area of 4000 block of Refugee Road. Officers responded and located 19yr old Ja'Bez Battle, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 11:00 PM.
