Wanted Sex Offender: Joshua Scarborough

11/4/2013

(DAYTON, Ohio) --  Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is requesting the public's help in locating a sex offender who has failed to register his address with authorities as required by law.

Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for the arrest of Joshua Scarborough on July 5, 2013.  He is wanted on a charge of Failure to Provide a Change of Address.

According to public records, the suspect was convicted in 2008 of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor.  Records indicate the victim was a juvenile female.

Scarborough also has a history of failing to keep his address on file with authorities.  He was found guilty of failing to notify authorities of his change of address in 2010, 2011, and 2012, according to Montgomery County court records.

Scarborough, who is listed as a sexually oriented offender, last registered his address as being on Main Street in Dayton.  He also has multiple tattoos, including the word "White" on his right shoulder,  an anarchy symbol under his belly button, "ICP" and "Aiden 5-23-08" on his chest, a cross on his back, "Pride" on his left shoulder, a cross and "Family" on his left forearm, and "Juggalo" on his right forearm.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Joshua Scarborough should contact the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office or the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at 855-BCI-OHIO (855-224-6446).

The U.S. Marshals are also looking for this suspect.  Those with tips can contact their Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team at 866-4-WANTED (866-492-6833) or use their text tip line by texting the keyword WANTED to TIP411.

This news release is part of Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Crimes Against Children Initiative.  As part of the Crimes Against Children Initiative, Attorney General DeWine will publicize convicted sex offenders who have victimized children and are wanted on outstanding warrants.  Other parts of the initiative include the establishment of a Crimes Against Children Unit at BCI, creation of a rapid response team for crimes against children, and specialized law enforcement training through BCI and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA).
