Suspected Serial Rapist Charged with Raping Seven Women Between 1993-2003

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty announced today that a suspected serial rapist has been indicted on charges linking him to the sexual assaults of seven women over a period of ten years.

BGSU, BCI Receive Grant to Study Analysis of Sexual Assault Kit Testing

 Bowling Green State University President Mary Ellen Mazey and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that the university and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office have been awarded nearly $440,000 in grant funding from the Laura and John Arnold Foundation.  The grant will be used by the university and the Ohio Attorney General’s Center for the Future of Forensic Science to help identify ways to streamline the analytical process of testing Sexual Assault Kits (SAKs).

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced Ohio’s participation in a multistate settlement requiring Volkswagen to pay more than $570 million for violating state laws prohibiting unfair or deceptive trade practices by marketing, selling, and leasing diesel vehicles equipped with illegal and undisclosed “defeat device” software.

Eleven Leaders of Drug Trafficking Operation Sentenced to Prison Following Investigation

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, Pickaway County Prosecutor Judy Wolford, Circleville Police Chief Shawn Baer, Pickaway County Sheriff Robert Radcliff, and Circleville Mayor Don McIlroy announced today that the 11 individuals identified last year as the leaders of a Circleville-area drug trafficking organization have all been sentenced to prison.
