Attorney General DeWine Issues Statement on Asian Carp Ruling

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine issued the following statement on the decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit to affirm the dismissal of a case brought by the Attorneys General of Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania to require the federal government to develop a permanent hydrologic separation to prevent Asian carp from reaching the Great Lakes.

Sandusky County Grand Jury Issues Findings in 2007 Jail Death

A Sandusky County Grand Jury today issued its findings in the 2007 death of an Oak Harbor man in jail custody. While it did not issue any indictments, the grand jury reported numerous findings regarding the case through its authority to issue a public supplemental jail inspection report.

Basement Remodeling Contractor Accused of Failing to Deliver

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a lawsuit against Quality 1st Home Improvements LLC and its owner, Tony Logan, for violations of Ohio's consumer laws. In the lawsuit, the Attorney General seeks restitution for consumers, civil penalties, and an injunction to stop further violations.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today certified the petition for the proposed Ohio Clean Energy Initiative amendment to the Ohio Constitution. The initiative certified today is the fourth such-titled submission to the Attorney General since 2012.

Sham Charity Ordered to Pay $320,000

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that a Franklin County judge has granted a default judgment against TEEN USA and Darien E. Smith of Cleveland for violating the terms of an agreement the organization made with the Attorney General’s Office in November 2013.
