Ohio Attorney General’s Collections End FY 2014 with Largest Fiscal Year Collections Totals in Ohio History

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office ended Fiscal Year 2014 with the largest amount of debt collected ever.  The office announced today that it collected more than $471 million in debts owed to state and local government entities in the fiscal year, which ended on June 30, 2014.

Ohio Man Arrested in Connection with 1995 Murders of Wife, Daughter

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Wayne County Sheriff Travis Hutchinson announced today that a cooperative effort between state and local authorities and investigators from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York has resulted in the arrest of an Ohio man on allegations that he murdered his wife and daughter in 1995.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a lawsuit against a Chicago-based mortgage rescue business — Credence Law Group Inc. — for taking money from consumers while making false promises about its ability to rescue them from foreclosure. The lawsuit is part of a nationwide sweep against fraudulent mortgage rescue services.
