BASICS Academy

A special note to our participants

Recognizing the need for highly trained victim advocates in the service field, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office has designed a program to advance the knowledge and training for victim-service providers: the weeklong BASICS (Basic Advocacy Skills in Crime Victim Services) Academy.

Our office is using this time of transition in the post-pandemic era to re-evaluate the BASICS training to ensure that the academy’s format and content are relevant and meaningful for professionals new to the field. Updates will be posted on this webpage as new information becomes available. We appreciate your patience.
