Melissa Wright joined the Attorney General’s Office in 2004. As an Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Protection Section, she previously handled various types of enforcement cases under the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act and related federal consumer protection laws. As the Section Chief of the Section, Melissa continues to handle various types of enforcement cases and also provides legal advice and assistance with all matters involving the section and with Ohio’s consumer protection laws, including related bankruptcy and multistate matters. Melissa is active in the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), serving on various working groups, including those related to debt collection and automotive enforcement, as well as participating as a panel member and instructor at various trainings and conferences throughout the country.
