Attorney General DeWine Provides Local Collections Update; Nearly $2 Million Collected to Date

The program, which went statewide last year, allows local governments to enter into agreements with the Attorney General's Office to collect unpaid debt on their behalf.

Attorney General DeWine Seeks Recovery of More than $10 Million in Development Loans to Defunct Solar Company

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, on behalf of the Ohio Development Services Agency and the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority (OAQDA), today filed two separate lawsuits against a defunct solar power company which defaulted on more than $10 million in state loans. The lawsuits against Willard & Kelsey Solar Group and its shareholders seek to recover loans made by the former Ohio Department of Development and the OAQDA.

Fraudulent Breast Cancer and Veterans' Charity Operation Ordered to Pay $977,628

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that a fraudulent charitable operation has been ordered to pay $977,628 in damages, restitution, and other costs. Donors throughout the U.S. contributed to The American Breast Cancer Federation and The American Veterans Federation, both created by Brandon Malone of Youngstown, but the organizations did little or nothing to help breast cancer patients or veterans.

Attorney General DeWine Charges Discount Drug Service with Unfairly Debiting Bank Accounts

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today filed a lawsuit charging Cincinnati-based Queen City Script Care with making unauthorized debits to consumers’ bank accounts, failing to provide refunds, and taking unfair advantage of consumers. Many victims are elderly and low-income.
