Attorney General DeWine Announces More than 5,000 Kits Tested as Part of Sexual Assault Kit Testing Initiative

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that forensic scientists with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) have tested more than 5,000 sexual assault kits as part of a special initiative to test rape kits that had never before been tested for DNA.

Cleveland Man Indicted for Violating Clean Air Act, Illegally Dumping Garbage and Defrauding Company out of $1.2 Million

A federal indictment was filed charging Christopher L. Gattarello and another Cleveland man with violating the Clean Air Act by failing to remove asbestos prior to demolishing a former factory in Cleveland, law enforcement officials said.

Ohioans Dispose of More than 10 Tons of Pills During National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) today thanked Ohio residents for properly disposing of 10.5 tons (21,197 pounds) of prescription drugs during the last Saturday's drug take-back day.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today warned Ohioans to beware of computer repair scams, where callers tell consumers their computers are infected with a virus and falsely claim they will fix the problem.
