Juan Jose Gonzalez, a sexually oriented offender, last registered himself as living in Mansfield, Ohio. He was convicted in 2003 on a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Wanted Sex Offender Featured in Attorney General’s Crimes Against Children Initiative Now In Custody

Jackson, a habitual sex offender, was wanted on a January 2012 warrant for failing to verify his address. According to police, Jackson was convicted in 2001 of Gross Sexual Imposition with a 4-year-old victim.

According to Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon, whose office oversees the county's D.A.R.E. program, several students raised approximately $1,000 to donate to Dayton Children's Medical Center.

Blue Alert Law Goes Into Effect Today; Attorney General DeWine Reminds Ohioans How to Get Information

The law creating an Ohio Blue Alert system officially went into effect today. Similar to an AMBER Alert, a Blue Alert will rapidly broadcast information to the public advising them of an at-large suspect who has killed, seriously injured, or kidnapped an Ohio peace officer.

House Bill 262, sponsored by Representative Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo), also known as the Safe Harbor Law, focuses on human trafficking and will increase the penalties for suspects and improve care for victims.

Attorney General DeWine, Miami County Prosecutor Announce Charges, Arrests in National Telemarketing Fraud Ring

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Miami County Prosecutor Gary Nasal today announced felony charges against 18 suspects accused of running a telemarketing fraud ring from Ohio and Florida that has stolen millions of dollars from thousands of victims in 41 states since 2007. Thirteen of the suspects have been taken into custody in Ohio, Florida, Indiana, and New York. Those from out of state will be extradited to Ohio.

Attorney General DeWine Visits Badges for Baseball Session in Zanesville

(ZANESVILLE, Ohio) – Attorney General Mike DeWine visited a session of Badges for Baseball in Zanesville today, praising the efforts of the local organizers and participants. Last April, Attorney General DeWine and Hall-of-Famer Cal Ripken Jr. announced that the program for youth 10-14 would be starting in Ohio in Zanesville, Canton, and Youngstown.

Attorney General DeWine Supports New Bill to Help Victims of Elder Abuse

(CLEVELAND) – On the first annual Elder Abuse Awareness Day in Ohio, Attorney General Mike DeWine joined Representative Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) to officially announce a bill that could significantly help victims of elder abuse and financial exploitation.

If passed, the Ohio Elder Justice Act, sponsored by Dovilla, will update current law to improve the response to elder abuse victims by strengthening Adult Protective Services in Ohio.  Dovilla worked closely with Attorney General DeWine's Elder Abuse Commission to draft the proposed legislation.
