Attorney General DeWine Announces $68 Million Multistate Settlement with UBS Over Libor Manipulation

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, along with 39 other attorneys general, today announced a $68 million settlement with UBS AG (UBS) for fraudulent conduct involving the manipulation of the London interbank offered rate (Libor), a benchmark interest rate that has a widespread impact on global markets and consumers.

DNA Results Confirm Identity of Remains; Authorities Seek Tips on Three Missing Women

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, Moraine Police Chief Craig Richardson, and Middletown Police Chief Rodney Muterspaw announced today that DNA analysis conducted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) has confirmed that remains found in Moraine in September are those of a Middletown woman who disappeared in 2017.

Attorney General DeWine Announces Multistate Consumer Protection Settlement with One of Largest Debt Buyers

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a multistate consumer protection settlement with one of the nation’s largest debt buyers – Encore Capital Group and its subsidiaries Midland Funding and Midland Credit Management – to require the company to reform its debt buying and collection practices.
