Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost today announced the conclusion of an elder abuse investigation through a plea agreement with Christine Warkentine filed in Clinton County Common Pleas Court. The attorney general’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Special Prosecutions Section handled the investigation and prosecution.

Summary for Proposed Presidential Election Amendment Certified

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office today certified a summary of a petition for a proposed amendment to the Ohio Constitution. The proposed amendment would change the way Ohio’s Electoral College members vote in presidential elections. An alternative summary for the same proposed amendment was rejected.

Yost Calls for Strong Opioid Warning

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is calling for a new report on pain management to adhere to guidelines already published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for decreasing the risk of opioid misuse. Yost, along with 38 other state and territory attorneys general nationwide, sent a letter today to Dr. Vanila Singh, chief medical officer for the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health.
