Details

On March 2nd, 2006 the Fostoria Police Department responded to 116 Palmer St in Fostoria, Seneca County, Ohio for an Unattended Death which appeared suspicious; as the body was found lying lifeless on the floor of the garage, in a pool of blood. Responding Fostoria Officers immediately contacted Fostoria Detectives, who came to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. Detectives requested Ohio BCI to come to the location and process the scene. The deceased subject was identified as 50yr old Jeffrey L Risner. Mr Risner was the owner of the residence. An autopsy of Mr Risner's body was preformed by Lucas County Corners Office. Mr Risner's autopsy revealed that he sustained multiple sharp force wounds to his neck, which caused transection of the left sternocleidomastoid and internal jugular vein. Mr Risner's autopsy also revealed blunt force trauma to the right side of Mr Risner's head, with multiple facial and arm injuries.
