On June 12, 1963 at 5:00 PM, 12 year old victim Ruth Elaine Guthrie was last seen walking in the area of Vinewood and Bierce Drive, Tallmadge (Summit County) Ohio. Ruth was walking towards her residence after leaving the Tallmadge Midwest Industrial Fair, held at football stadium on Overdale Drive in Tallmadge. On May 27, 1964, Ruth Guthrie's remains were discovered on remote property located near 2925 McClintocksburg Road, Diamond (Portage County) Ohio.
