Details
On 11/1/1985 the cousin of Armie Cole went inside his apartment after he got no answer at the door and no response trying to call him. Cole was found in his bedroom deceased from blunt force trauma and was stabbed. The residence was a house where Cole rented rooms to people and he also lived there. One of his neighbors heard the victim come home the day before and talking in the hallway to someone he did not recognize. Cole told the unknown person about his cooking ability. That was when the witness knew the person was relatively
unknown to the victim because everyone who knew him already knew about what a good cook he was. The witness went to take a nap around 5 o'clock that afternoon and heard the victim's door open very lightly and someone walk downstairs. Cole was found just after 1 A.M. According to the victim's family, he was openly gay and preferred the company of young black males. The scene suggested that Cole had a sexual encounter with the person that killed him. His wallet was also missing.
