On January 21, 2000, Toledo Police units responded to 418 Martin Lane after being notified by the family members of 37-year old Carla Bailey whom became concerned when they had not heard from her. Once gaining entry to Ms. Bailey's apartment, authorities discovered her body inside suffering multiple stab wounds. The death was ruled as a homicide.
