(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced the members of his office’s 2016-2017 Teen Ambassador Board.
More than 230 high school juniors and seniors are part of this year’s board. They represent over 50 counties and more than 150 schools. Their average grade point average is 3.87.
“We look forward to working with this accomplished group of students,” Attorney General DeWine said. “Serving on the Teen Ambassador Board gives young people an inside look at state government and allows them to connect with their peers across Ohio.”
The purpose of the Ohio Attorney General’s Teen Ambassador Board is to provide participants the opportunity to meet and interact with government officials, work together to provide feedback on key initiatives of the Attorney General’s Office, and learn about and discuss important issues facing Ohio today.
Board members serve a one-year term, during which they convene twice in Columbus. They are organized into groups and advised by mentors from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
This year’s kick-off meeting will be held in August and students will serve through the spring of 2017.
