Ohio High School Government Videos

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is committed to engaging Ohio’s young people and educating them about their government. To help students better understand state and federal government, we have developed a series of five videos for high school government classrooms. These videos address civic engagement, state public policy creation, the Ohio and US Constitutions, and the Bill of Rights. These videos were created in conjunction with legislators, current and former statewide office holders, and other Ohioans.

Lesson Plans

It has been almost a century since the conclusion of World War I, fought from 1914 to 1918. Many Ohioans fought and lost their lives in World War I. To commemorate and honor the sacrifices these brave men made, the following lesson plans have been compiled for use by Ohio’s schools. These lesson plans were created by Ohio Social Studies Teacher of the Year, Paul LaRue, in conjunction with the Ohio History Connection and the National Park Service. The lesson plans are available completely free of charge and cover Ohio Department of Education high school social studies standards.
