Robert Yaptangco serves as an Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Since joining the Office in 2018, Robert has investigated alleged anticompetitive conduct; litigated complex antitrust lawsuits; reviewed mergers and acquisitions for legal compliance; conducted research and produced memoranda on matters involving federal and state antitrust laws for the Antitrust Section; educated purchasers about potential collusive conduct through the Ohio Attorney General’s Partnership for Competitive Purchasing Program; and assisted the Tobacco Unit with enforcing the Ohio Smoke-Free Workplace Act.
In addition to working in the Antitrust Section, Robert addresses public records requests as a member of the Sunshine Law Task Force of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
Before joining the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Robert served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Civil Division of the Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. In that role, Robert litigated lawsuits on behalf of county officials, boards, and entities; conducted research and produced memoranda pertaining to legal matters for county officials, boards, and entities; drafted and reviewed documents and contracts for legal form; and assisted the Delaware County Treasurer’s Office with collecting delinquent taxes.
