Matthew serves as a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust Section of the Office of the Ohio Attorney General.  Since joining the office in 2012, Matthew has investigated and litigated a variety of complex antitrust matters.  He has experience in all aspects of complex litigation, and has a particular focus on discovery practice and procedure.  He served as trial counsel in State of Ohio v. Cargill Inc. et al., which ultimately settled and resulted in an $11.5 million recovery for the State of Ohio.  Matthew also served as co-counsel for the State of Ohio in The State of Texas, et al., v. Penguin Group Inc., et al., where Apple Inc. was found liable for participating in a conspiracy with publishers of eBooks.  Matthew has also been responsible for evaluating the economic impact of large mergers and acquisitions on various markets throughout the State of Ohio.
 
In addition to his work in the Antitrust Section, Matthew has worked collaboratively with attorneys from other sections of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office on a variety of matters.  He also serves as a mentor to the Attorney General’s Teen Ambassador Board.
