Joint Use of Force and Critical Decision Making in Stressed Environments Instructor
This instructor course is designed to assist instructors with curriculum development and the ability to understand how to design training to fulfill their agencies risk management needs. This course will include subject control techniques, scenario management development, deadly force encounters, critical decision making, judgment training, firearms skills, safety protocols in training, and lesson plan development and curriculum design.
Note: Students should be in good physical condition and free of injury to attend this course. This course is very physical and exercise intensive, the course will be conducted during abnormal working hours, and the student needs to be comfortable in deep water.
Equipment required: Students will need their ballistic vest, duty belt w/firearm, department issued shotgun, two flashlights, knee pads, elbow pads, eye protection, and mouth piece. Student need to have several changes of clothes because they will be getting wet, dirty/muddy and be in areas contaminated with chemical agents. There are several Air-Soft training portions during this course, have the proper neck/face protection and any other safety equipment you need to protect yourself. Please bring range shoes and gym shoes to the training. Each student will need 250 rounds of their pistol ammunition and 50 rounds for their shotgun. Bring a set of woodland type clothing for a deep forested environment and other related clothing depending on the weather. Each student must have a non-breakable water container with his/her name on it. Each student needs to bring a notebook for the administrative portion of the course.
