Range Medical Emergencies and the Firearms Instructor
This 4 hour course will cover a variety of issues Firearms instructors are prone to encounter while running the range. These topics include: Legal Issues, required medical equipment, anaphylactic shock, heat disorders, gunshot injuries, impaled objects, and controlling bleeding.
The course instructor will be Brian L. Springer, MD FACEP, Assistant Professor and Director of the Division of Tactical Emergency Medicine at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Springer is also a TEMS (Tactical Emergency Medical Service) Instructor and a S.W.A.T. Doctor.
Note: Course hours are 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
