Shooting Incident Reconstruction
Nationally renowned Bloodstain and Shooting Incident Reconstruction Instructor N. Leroy Parker is returning to OPOTA to teach Shooting Incident Reconstruction. This course is designed to teach the Crime Scene Investigator or Evidence Technician how to document and reconstruct shooting related evidence found at crime scenes. Students will be instructed how to calculate bullet trajectories using multiple methods which include trigonometric ratios, strings, and dowel rods. Students will be required to complete numerous hands on lab assignments and pass a written exam for successful completion of the course.
Note: Priority registration will be given to students who have not had a Shooting Incident Reconstruction Class in the past. Students should bring appropriate clothing for numerous outdoor exercises.
