Details

On 07/12/1969, a black male was seen entering the men's room at the Shell Service Station on the corner of E. 105th St. and Chester Ave. at 3:00 a.m. At approximately 3:55 a.m., the service station attendant found the decedent on the floor of the men's room. The door was locked from the inside. The man was approximately 25-30 years old and was wearing blue pants, black socks, orange shirt and black shoes. The coroner noted he had a well healed right inguinal scar measuring 5" in length is noted. The flexor surface of the right hand reveals areas of skin-grafting at the metacarpophalangeal joints of the 4th and 5th fingers. The flexor creases at the metacarpophalangeal joints of the index and middle fingers shows scarring. Over the lumbar vertebra, there are several small areas of pigmentation, consistent with needle puncture marks.
