On January 7, 1998 at approximately 3:18 am, Whitehall Police received an emergency 9-1-1 call from 222 Parklawn Blvd, Apt. G reporting a shooting. Responding officers found the victim, Ronnie Tanner inside the apartment dead from gunshot wounds. Subsequent investigation revealed that Tanner was at the apartment visiting a female friend when the shooting occurred. According to the female friend who resides at the apartment, the two were approached by an unknown male black brandishing a firearm as they entered the apartment. A brief struggle ensued between Tanner and the unknown assailant ending in Tanner being shot and the suspect fleeing. Investigators are attempting to locate anyone who had contact with Tanner before his death or may have information regarding his murder.
