On February 12, 2022, at approximately 2:48am, officers were dispatched to the 5400 Block of Sandalwood Blvd. on the report of a shooting. Officers arrived at scene and found evidence of a shooting but no victim. Officers received updated information that the victim was being transported by victim #2 to an area hospital. Victim #2 flagged down officers in the 1800 Block of E. Dublin-Granville Rd., they rendered aid to the victim until Clinton Twp. Medic 61 arrived. Victim #1 was then transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Despite receiving lifesaving medical treatment, the victim, 23yr old Thomas Swanson, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 7:57 am.
