Details

The Heath Police Department has an unsolved homicide involving the death of a 46 year old female. Neighbors contacted police on January 15, 2009 reporting they had not seen the victim in several days. The victim's family went to her residence after contacted by police and found her body hidden in her bedroom closet. The discovery was made on January 18, 2009. The victim had been strangled and wrapped in blankets and her body concealed in the corner of the closet. Date of death is unconfirmed. Investigation has indicated last known contact with victim was on a Monday, however neighbors are unable to verify if it was January 5th or 12th. Neighbors did report seeing a very tall, (6’ 4” plus), “bean pole” skinny, white male entering the victim’s residence on Tuesday, January 13th. They reported having seen him there on four or five prior occasions, but do not know who he is or his relation to the victim. They further described him as missing most of his top front teeth, and having “sunken in” cheeks. He is possibly in his late 40’s to early 50’s, with short, sandy brown or dirty blond hair that appears for the most part shaved. Subject also has numerous “prison looking" tattoos. Two possibly being a skeleton on his right arm and a spider web on an elbow. On his right upper chest, he also has something that appears similar to a woodpecker face with a cigar. Face of woodpecker would be pointing toward the left side of his chest. Cigar is reportedly dangling lower and the woodpecker has a little bit of a neck that ends in a point. . Woodpecker tattoo is not colored. This subject was reported to have been seen driving an older, possibly between 1980-90, piece of junk, “boxy” Ford Ranger. The truck is all primer gray. Neighbors said it has no shine to it at all and almost looks like it could have even been spray painted gray. It also has a “crappy sunroof.” It is a 2WD, regular cab, with the extended bed. This individual remains unidentified.
