Details

On June 29, 2017, at approximately 1:56 a.m., Columbus Police officers were called to the B.P. Gas Station at 3140 E. Main St. on the report of multiple gunshots being fired. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile victim on the lot who had received multiple gunshots. The victim was transported by CFD Medic 21 to Grant Medical Center in stable condition. Approximately one hour later, a second victim was located in the front yard of a nearby address. The second victim, later identified as 16yr old Marquelis Shaquan Barnes, was also suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased by CFD Medic 21 at 3:06 a.m.
