On 09/19/1999 shortly after 11:00am, Richard L. Altomare Sr. was found deceased inside the Old Crestview Middle School that he owned with multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Altomare was the owner of Altomare Welding Inc. at 37921 West Main St., Leetonia, OH. The Coroner's Office determined the cause of death as a homicide.
