On August 28, 2017, at approximately 5:03 a.m., Columbus Police officers were called to the area of 751 E. Mithoff Street on the report of shots fired. The caller also stated that they believed someone was shot in the backyard of their residence. Upon arrival, officers located 37yr old Terrance Smith in the backyard of 753 E. Mithoff Street, who was suffering from several gunshot wounds. CFD Medic 815 arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased at 5:14 a.m.
