On 03/30/2000 at 0256 hours, Charlotte Ross was discovered in the parking lot of the above location by a newspaper delivery driver while making deliveries. Ross was transported by emergency medical services to Massillon Community Hospital and subsequently airlifted to Akron General Hospital where emergency surgery was performed. Charlotte Ross died during surgery at 0900 hours. The cause of death was determined to be exsanguination/shock associated with blunt force trauma to the pelvis. Due to her injuries, Ross was believed to be transported to, and left, at this location by unknown person(s) and possibly redressed. At the time of the incident, Charlotte Ross resided in Akron and was not tied to the Canal Fulton community.
