On Thursday 12/2/2021 at 2:21am Columbus Police were dispatched to a report of a shooting at S. Highland Ave. & Sheridan St. Upon arrival, Officers found 58yr old Anthony Merchant suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. One gunshot to the stomach, right arm, and right leg. CFD Medic 17 transported victim to Grant hospital in critical but stable condition. Mr. Merchant succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on December 19, 2021 at 12:24am.
