Protecting Older Ohioans Forum

Thank you for attending the 2021 Protecting Older Ohioans Forum, Staying Safe: Thriving Through the Pandemic which was held on May 17, 2021. This program was presented by the Ohio Attorney’s General’s Elder Abuse Commission in partnership with the Ohio Association of Senior Centers, the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging, and the Ohio Department of Aging.

Many older Ohioans have experienced unique concerns during the pandemic, such as being separated from family, friends and caregivers as well as being targeted by scammers. This program focused on empowering and protecting older Ohioans from fraud and abuse during the pandemic. The expert presenters discussed topics that included sessions on wellness and isolation issues during COVID, combating financial exploitation, and staying physically and mentally healthy.

  • Ohio Attorney General’s Office - Bureau of Criminal Investigation
