BCI WebCheck Letter Verifier
Many public and private employers require background checks for employment purposes. State law mandates that schools, day care centers, health care facilities, and others require such checks as part of the hiring process. Some employers accept background check reports showing no criminal history directly from job candidates and employees. Unfortunately, this poses the risk of receiving fraudulent background checks from individuals who may not be eligible to work with certain populations because of past criminal convictions.
With the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s WebCheck Verifier, employers can check the validity of prospective or current employees’ Ohio background check results showing no criminal history.
To use WebCheck Verifier, enter the background check authentication number along with the last name, date of birth, or last four digits of the Social Security number of the individual whose result you are verifying. If the paperwork is accurate, you will receive confirmation of its validity and the date the background check was completed. If the result does not match BCI’s database, you will be instructed to contact BCI’s Identification Division.
Only Ohio background check results can be verified with this tool. To verify the results of a FBI background check or any other result letter please contact the BCI Identification Division
