Scott has worked for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office since 1995.  He began his career in the office as a regional representative for eastern Ohio, primarily dealing with local law enforcement issues as they related to the AGO’s office.  In 1999, he joined the Workers’ Compensation section in the Cleveland Regional office.  In 2013, he became the Managing Attorney of the Youngstown Regional office.  His principle duties remain as an Assistant Attorney General in the Workers’ Compensation Section.  He represents the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation at the trial and appellate courts levels.  During the course of almost twenty years in the section, he has handled thousands of cases and tried multiple cases.

Prior to joining the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Scott worked in private practice with a focus on oil and gas law.

Scott is a native of the Mahoning Valley and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1991.  He received his B.A. in History from The Ohio State University, and his J.D. from Capital University Law School.
