Jerry joined the Workers’ Compensation in October of 2018.  He had previously served as an Assistant Attorney General from 1987 -1990.  Jerry has vast experience having represented the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation in jury trials in multiple jurisdictions throughout Ohio, and has prepared numerous appellate court and mandamus briefs.

After his first stint representing the BWC the late 1980’s, Jerry worked in the private sector representing self-insured employers in the workers’ compensation system. Such work included hundreds of Industrial Commission hearings and trials. All combined, Jerry has been an advocate in the workers’ compensation system for over 30 years, which is the vast majority of his 38 year legal career. While in private practice, Jerry also defended clients in the mass asbestos litigation products liability suits, which included overseeing the practice in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties.

Jerry has lectured in CLE courses and to groups of private employers.  He is a firm believer that sharing his knowledge of the workers’ compensation system and laws are an essential part of ensuring that the system works fairly for all involved.
