Anthony is an Assistant Attorney General in the Workers’ Compensation Section and is assigned to the Cleveland Regional Office.  He handles agency appeals to the courts of common pleas in Northeast Ohio.  His practice involves civil trial work. 

Prior to his employment with the Attorney General, Anthony had a long a varied career as an elected official and public servant.  He served as a State Representative in the Ohio Legislature for the eastern region of Cuyahoga County.  Anthony was appointed by Carl Stokes, Mayor of Cleveland, as one of the original members of the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority.  He served as a magistrate in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas-Probate Division.  Anthony was elected and served as a judge in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, and was elected and served in the Eighth District Court of Appeals.  Prior to holding office as a judge, Anthony spent over twenty-five years in the private practice of law concentrating on personal injury litigation and workers’ compensation.

Anthony is a graduate of John Carroll University and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

He is licensed to practice in Ohio, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeal, Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
