Sophia Hussain joined the Attorney General’s office, Taxation Section, in September 2006. Sophia represents the Tax Commissioner of Ohio before the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, Ohio Courts of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Ohio. Sophia has orally argued cases at the Ohio Supreme Court and the 8th and 10th District Courts of Appeals. Sophia’s cases involve various state tax issues including real property tax exemption, sales and use tax, commercial activity tax, and income tax.
Sophia is also a member of the Office’s Diversity Committee, section representative of the Sunshine Law Task Force, and volunteers with the Office’s Pro Bono Seniors Program.
