Kody began his career at the Attorney General’s Office as a law student in the Criminal Justice and Special Prosecutions Sections. After passing the bar, Kody became an Assistant Attorney General in the Health and Human Services Section where he represented the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the Ohio Department of Medicaid, and the Ohio Department of Health. Kody now serves in the Taxation Section litigating cases for the Ohio Department of Taxation and the Ohio Tax Commissioner. He frequently appears before the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, Ohio courts of common pleas, Ohio courts of appeals, and the Ohio Supreme Court. Kody has also handled cases in federal court.

Kody is co-chair of AGO Connect, the Attorney General’s initiative to promote young lawyer networking and professional development. In addition, he serves on the Diversity Committee and is a high school mock trial judge for the Ohio Center for Law Related Education.
