Georgia L. Verlaney

Georgia L. Verlaney is an assistant attorney general with the Labor Relations Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.  Formerly, she was an assistant attorney general with the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for over two years, and with the Crime Victim Services Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for more than twelve years.

Georgia began her legal career in New York where she is still admitted to practice law, and has worked predominantly in the public sector.  Prior to joining the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Georgia devoted much of her legal career to child protective proceedings, first in New York City, and then in Akron, Ohio.  Georgia attended Miami University, and graduated magna cum laude from The University of Akron, with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  She also earned her law degree from The University of Akron.
