Rebecca Thomas

Principal Assistant Attorney General Becky Thomas joined the Health and Human Services Section in 2001. Since then, she has been a member of the Unit representing the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and the Ohio Department of Medicaid. Her areas of special interest are appellate advocacy, legal writing, and administrative law.

Before joining the Health and Human Services Section, Becky was the AGO’s Simon Karas Fellow (2000-2001). Before that she clerked for Justice Deborah L. Cook in the Supreme Court of Ohio (1999-2000), for Judge David D. Dowd, Jr., in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio (1998-1999), and for Judge Clair E. Dickinson in the Ninth District Court of Appeals of Ohio (1996-1998). She also clerked for a small private law firm during law school (1994-1996).
