Ken joined the Attorney General’s Office in 2009.  As part of the Criminal Prosecution Unit of the Environmental Enforcement Section, he prosecutes various kinds of environmental crimes under state law in Ohio courts.  Representing the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the Ohio Department of Health, and the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Ken works closely with special agents of BCI’s Environmental Enforcement Unit and state and local law enforcement officers in the investigation and prosecution of these matters.

Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Ken served as an assistant and elected county prosecutor in Ohio for nearly 20 years, primarily handling felony cases in common pleas court and criminal appeals.  He also advised local government officials on civil legal matters.  In 2006, he completed the Career Prosecutor’s Course with the National College of District Attorneys Association and on multiple occasions Ken has taught state prosecutors as an adjunct faculty member at the National Advocacy Center.  More recently, Ken has served as an attorney facilitator for law enforcement officers and regulatory personnel from various states in the Advanced Environmental Crimes Training Program at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, helping those states more effectively investigate and prosecute environmental crimes.
