Caitlyn joined the Constitutional Offices Section in 2021 and represents state agencies and statewide officeholders in both state and federal court. Her current clients include the Auditor of State, Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB), Controlling Board, General Assembly, Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee, Ohio Legislative Services Commission and the Secretary of State. Caitlyn is also a member of the Public Records Unit.
 
Since joining the Attorney General’s Office in 2011, Caitlyn has also worked in the Criminal Justice, Health Care Fraud, and Health & Human Services Sections. During that time, she represented Department of Rehabilitation & Correction and Department of Youth Services employees in constitutional cases brought pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and defended the State of Ohio in wrongful-imprisonment actions. She also represented the Department of Medicaid, Department of Job & Family Services, and Department of Education in administrative hearings and criminally prosecuted Medicaid-provider fraud cases in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. Caitlyn also spent three and a half years serving as the Deputy Director of Outside Counsel. In that role, she engaged, retained, and oversaw private-sector attorneys appointed as Special Counsel by the Attorney General to provide legal representation to State agencies for non-collections matters.
 
Outside of the Attorney General’s Office, Caitlyn is actively involved in local bar association activities. She currently serves on the Columbus Bar Association Board of Governors and on the Columbus Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. She participated in the CBA’s Barrister Leadership Program in 2014 and received the CBA President’s Award in 2016. Caitlyn has also served as the Franklin County Co-Coordinator for the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education (OCLRE) High School Mock Trial Program since 2015.
