Community Coalition

Local network of foreclosure intervention advocates including busniness, government, legal and non-profits who educate struggling homeowners and connect them to services.

Help for Veterans

County Veteran Services Offices that coordinate veterans benefits including foreclosure intervention.

HUD-Approved Counseling Agencies

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approves housing counseling agencies throughout the country that can provide information on buying a home, renting, defaults, foreclosures and credit issues. HUD-approved housing counselors will advocate for you with your lender for FREE when you are having trouble making your house payment.

Information and Referral

Either 211 or other community sponsored telephone numbers that refer callers to an array of community resources including food, housing, shelter, free tax preparation, HUD-approved housing counseling agencies and other needed  information.

Legal Aid

legal help at no cost for those with limited income, savings and assets. Services include representation for public benfits, family problems, housing, health care, consumer problems, tax, utilites and education of disabled children.

Mortgage Money Assistance

Financial assistance that may help make up missed mortgage payments.  Additional financial help may be available locally by contacting 211, information and referral, community action or a HUD-approved housing counseling agency.
