Cyberbullying 101 Workshop

Workshop Overview

Bullying has become an everyday occurrence in Ohio's schools and communities, making it one of the most harmful and distressing problems facing youth, parents, educators, counselors and law enforcement today. In an effort to provide awareness and education about the implications of bullying, the Office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine will be offering Cyberbullying 101, a one day workshop in five regional sites in Ohio. The workshop is free and will:
  1. Provide education about the types of bullying, specifically focusing on cyberbullying.
  2. Provide participants with an understanding of the legal implications of cyberbullying, including criminal and civil charges.
  3. Participants will understand policies and practices which address and impact cyberbullying.
  4. Participants will understand promising strategies and interventions when a cyberbullying incident occurs.
