(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that his office is now accepting applications for its Teen Ambassador Board.
The Ohio Attorney General’s Teen Ambassador Board advises the office on issues related to teens. Board members serve a one-year term during which they convene twice in Columbus. They work in groups to propose solutions to problems facing Ohioans and meet with the Attorney General and other elected officials.
Ohio high school students who will be juniors or seniors during the 2016-2017 academic year are now eligible to apply. Applications are due May 31, 2016.
“Participating in the Teen Ambassador Board gives Ohio students an inside look at law and government,” Attorney General DeWine said. “Participants will work with their peers to propose solutions to some of the greatest challenges facing Ohioans. I encourage interested students to apply.”
The Teen Ambassador Board includes high school juniors and seniors from public, private, charter, and online schools in Ohio. During the 2015-2016 academic year, approximately 170 students joined the program. Ideal candidates are motivated self-starters who are interested in law and government.
