Victims of crime face many setbacks as a result of their tragic and unexpected circumstances. The Attorney General’s Crime Victim Services Section (CVS) provides funding and services to aid victims, training for professionals who assist them, grants for victim service providers, and crime prevention programs for Ohio communities.
The Crime Victim Services Section is proud to have announced the new statewide 2014 Outreach Initiative to improve the number of Ohioans receiving information about crime victim’s services and applying to the Crime Victims Compensation Program.
Through a regional approach, CVS teams will provide training and resources to every county in the State. The goal is to strengthen existing partnerships with law enforcement, prosecutors, and grant award recipients, as well as, to create new relationships with other communities that may come into contact with crime victims.
